Work Information
ハレルヤコーラスで有名なヘンデルのオラトリオ「メサイア」は、バッハのマタイ受難曲、ヨハネ受難曲と並ぶヘンデルの宗教的作品。タイトルは「メシア（救世主）」の英語読みに由来し、歌詞は聖書から取られ、イエス・キリストの生涯を題材とした独唱曲・重唱曲・合唱曲で構成されている。
