Hanmer William Webb-Peploe was born in 1837, in England. He was the vicar (clergyman of a chapel) of St. Paul’s in Onslow, England and prebendary (honorary senior parish priest) of St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. These were part of the evangelical branch of the Anglican Church.
