Messiah, HWV 56 14. There were shepherds abiding in the fields (secco recitative for soprano)
This is the oratorio composed by Handel, and is one the most famous work of his in the meanwhile. "Hallelujah" is the most well-known section in the whole "Messiah". The meaning of "Hallelujah" is "Praise the Lord", which is the yell of the christians when worshiping God.
