1812 Overture, Op. 49 Oh God, save thy people (Choral version)
This orchestral work is to commemorate the leading of Mikhail Kutuzov to repulse the invading of the Napoleon's army and win the victory of the French invasion of Russia. This work is famous for the sound of cannon fire in the music. Some performances, especially the outdoors ones, have used the real cannon. The beginning is a deep and wide theme, which represents the broad territory and boundless scenery of Russia.
