Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, Op. 46 No. 3 Anitra's Dance
The Peer Gynt Suite, composed by Norwegian composer Grieg in 1875, is the two set of symphonies for Henrik Ibsen's poetic drama of the same name. There were 23 movements in the Peer Gynt Suite originally. Between 1888 and 1891, Grieg selected eight movements to form two suites with four movements each nowadays. The 4th song of the 1st suite, In the Hall of the Mountain King, describes the terrifying mood of the hall.
