The Ring of the Nibelung, WWV 86: The Valkyrie, WWV 86B Act III: Nicht sehre dich Sorge um mich (Sieglinde) - So fliege denn eilig (Brunnhilde, The Valkyries)
"Der Ring des Nibelungen", originally means The Ring of the Nibelung, is a cycle of four operas composed and wrote by Wagner, and takes 26 years to complete. The inspiration of creation comes from the stories and the figures of the Nordic Myth, especially the Icelanders' sagas. This song is the first section of the third act of the second chapter, The Valkyrie. "Ride Of The Valkyries" is well-known due to the spreading of the pop-culture. For example, the American film about the Vietnam War, Apocalypse Now, uses this song as the incidental music.
