The Marriage of Figaro, K. 492 Overture

This comic opera is one of the most outstanding operas of Mozart, which is completed in 1786. The Italian libretto is written by Lorenzo Da Ponte and adapted from the comedy of the same name by the French playwright Pierre Beaumarchais. The short and delicate overture is one of the well-know tunes, which is vigorous, effective and easy in perking up the mood. This overture is often perfromed individually departing from the opera.
