Beethoven composes this solo piano piece in 1801, which is one of the most famous works of his. Its name, Moonlight, comes from a criticism of a music critic, Heinrich Friedrich Ludwig Rellstab, who compares the dim mood of its first movement with the moonlight of the Lake Lucerne at night. The atmosphere of this movement is steady, hazy, and with deep thought, which is very impressed.
