The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (Dutch: Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest, pronounced [ˌkɔnɪnklək kɔnˈsɛrtɣəbʌu̯ɔrˌkɛst]) is asymphony orchestra of the Netherlands, based at the Royal Concertgebouw (concert hall) in Amsterdam. In 1988, Queen Beatrixconferred the "Royal" title upon the orchestra. In December 2008, a group of international critics invited by Gramophone ranked the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra as the best symphony orchestra in the world.[source from Wikipedia]
