Ave Maria, CG 89a Ave Maria (Arr. from Bach's Prelude No.1 BWV 846)
The French composer Gounod, superimposed the melody over the Prelude No.1 from The Well-Tempered Clavier of Bach, and used the prayer as the lyric which is as perfect as they cooperate with each other.
